Jabra STONE

$119.00 Released November, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Portable charging base with internal battery - lets you charge your earpiece on the go. Extremely small and lightweight - even considering the mobile charging base. Automatically turns off when docked.

The Cons:Can only be used in the right ear. Noise cancellation simply doesn't work. As various other sites have pointed out, the volume controls are hard to activate, and even when maximized the unit's volume is just not that good.

Jabra's STONE is a new Bluetooth earpiece with an elegant design and attractive features. Unlike the Jawbone and Plantronics Voyager before, which have an extended boom that lays on the cheek – the Jabra STONE has no boom but instead it utilizes DSP technology and Noise Blackout Extreme to increase not only the phonics that can be heard to the person calling you but also for upgraded noise elimination.

The Jabra Stone is very lightweight (only .25 ounces) and it can easily be slipped into a pocket or purse making it super portable. The headset features a touch volume control. Another useful feature is the ability to connect two Bluetooth enabled devices at the same time with “Multiuse capabilities.” The headset can also stream music from A2DP compatible mobile phones. The only downside found with the Jabra STONE is that those with bigger ears might enjoy it more. Since the earclip is not adjustable, it might keep falling out of small ears. This is a headset fit for a specific size of ear.

I have never seen a device with shorter charging cords. I don't know how much money they saved by only have a cord a few inches long but it's almost laughable.

    sound quality is lacking
