It features adaptive frequency hopping technology to reduce wireless interference and has a built-in fast port allowing it to be charged from a Fast Port-enabled Sony Ericsson phone. The HBH-PV712 SE differs from the HBH-PV708 since it comes with three coloured faceplates for customizing the headset. It also provides similar battery life as the HBH-PV708 with up to 15 hours of talk time and up to 500 hours standby. The headset has a suggested retail price of $80 and comes with a totebag and a quick-release neckstrap for when the headset is not in use.
